| A Sort of Truthful Picture of the European Women In The First 1970!, 23 January 2005 | | | | Author: ANTONIO LA TORRE (BCULT) from Palermo, Italy | | The film is structured in four episodes that describes four different female conditions. 1)Le Serve (The Maids): Fanny is a young farmer who works in a noblewoman's house, just like her great wish. Because her extreme naivety, she don't realize about her colleague Rosa's morbid love. 2)Le Furberie di Michele (The Astuteness of Michael): Fanny is a Neapolitan woman with nine children, and to avoid new births, she avoid her husband too. 3)La Donna di Ghiaccio (The Ice Woman): Fanny refuses every sexual intercourse with her fiance'. Only a doctor will succeed in resolving her reluctance. 4)La Provetta non e` un Padre (The Test-tube is not a Father): Fanny cannot have children because her husband is impotent. So she will use the artificial insemination ignoring her husband's opinion. So Fanny's husband will have to pay all the expenses. The 16mm. version is 98 minutes longer. Music by Nora Orlandi |
